That’s ALA as in American Library Association! Their ALSC division (Association for Library Service to Children) has chosen their favorite Notable Children’s Recordings for 2006 and “Baby Loves Jazz: Go Baby Go” made the cut.
There will be no red carpet walks, paparazzi or awards ceremony after-parties, but Steven cordially thanks the ALA/ALSC, sends a shout-out to his crew, and was overheard proudly wondering, “Awesome! I mean, c’mon… Who wins awards from librarians?!?”

The American Beauty Project will honor the Grateful Dead’s two storied 1970 albums, American Beauty and Workingman’s Dead, albums comprised of true hymns to Americana, and created during a period in the band’s history when they were compared to a Charles Ives village green band.
